Funeral care: this time it's personal

Evermore Funerals was started by three Brisbane locals - each with experience in different, but related fields. One of them comes from the aged care sector, one from the medical/health sector, and one from the funeral industry. This business was started as a response to two main concerns:

(1) the high prices charged by many funeral companies (many of which are very wealthy).

(2) the cold, impersonal service that many experience when dealing with funeral care providers.

While no funeral company is perfect, we are strongly committed to providing genuinely caring funeral services at compassionate prices. We are proud of the funeral care we've already provided to hundreds of families facing loss.

Recently, Evermore Funerals was asked to assist with the funeral of someone known to Matthew, our Operations Manager. A 51-year-old man by the name of Toby Nicholas had passed away after a long and brave battle with a rare medical condition. We were able to assist the family, make all the arrangements, and conduct the graveside service as required by the family. It was a deeply moving, beautiful way to say goodbye to a good man. 

While there was a personal connection to the deceased, this service represents what we truly want for the families who engage our services: genuinely caring funeral services at a reasonable price. 

Toby's mother wrote a lovely review, which we share with you now:

Yesterday we said goodbye to my beautiful son - something that no parent should have to do.
Toby had been so ill for a very long time, and after 51 years his poor body gave out. As a personal friend, Matt and his team were with us every step of the way, with dignity, compassion and reverence.
With the choice of a full Chapel service or a simple burial at the gravesite, we were able to honour Toby’s wishes.
Evermore’s personalised and affordable service turned a very difficult day into a creative and fitting memorial for our very much loved young man. Matthew’s personal tribute was an experience for which the family will forever be grateful. Thank you so much. - Susan
